The Gorge has attracted people for centuries. Come learn about the rock art it contains and who was there before us.

Dr. Ben Alberti is Professor of Anthropology at Framingham State University, Massachusetts. He has researched and published widely on northwest Argentinean ceramics, but has recently joined Severin Fowles' Gorge Archaeological Project. In this new area, he has become fascinated by the challenge of understanding representation in archaic hunter-gatherer rock art.
